Description: 1st Class ElectricianWe are currently seeking a1st Class Electricianfor ourJacksonville, FLlocation.You will demonstrate success by:Performing all duties required to layout, fabricate, and install electrical wiring or coaxial cable on marine based electrical systems.Checking, testing, and troubleshooting electrical systems for conformance to specifications and performing repair, removal, and re installation of wiring as necessary.Cutting wire to length; strips insulation from wire ends, and insulates connections with plastic sleeves.Attaching wire or complicated electrical systems to fixtures and accessories such as transformers, instrument panels, and switchboards with fasteners such as bolts, screws, or solder.Monitoring and verifying quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.Possess skills and abilities to perform the requirements of a ship board or airframe electrician’s trade with little supervision or guidance.Knowing how to read and interpret drawings, specifications, technical manuals, design notices, etc.Knowing and understanding the use of all tools of their trade such as multi-meters, pin crimper’s, soldering and expected to accomplish the more complex tasks associated with electrical installation of cable, military circular connectors, panel box and power terminations, etc.Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED requiredNavy ” A” or “C” School for basic electrical theory understanding highly preferredMust have five (5) years experience in electrical repairs to layout, fabricate, and install electrical wiring or coaxial cable on aircraft/shipboard systems.Fiber experience is a plusFamiliar with basic computer skillsExperience and/or Certification in multi-pin MIL-STD connectors is required.U.S.
